INTRODUCTION

SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL

Science International (ISI Indexed) , commissioned in the fleet of international research publications in July 1988. It is a broad based bimonthly journal (refereed), devoted to all basic and applied subjects of natural and social sciences. To its credit go about 6000 research publications from here and abroad to date. Ever since it came into being, it has the privilege of having been indexed and abstracted by the prominent national and international agencies. In its purview are mainly research papers, review articles, short communications and reports. It has the honor to have been recognized and supported by esteemed research organizations in public sector.

In addition to its normal functioning, it remains committed promoting scientific research and academic activities all over the world. Organizing science conferences, seminars, at national and international level, has been the salient feature of its activities.

IMPERIAL COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDIES

Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), Lahore was established in 1991 and chartered by the Government of Punjab in 2002 as independent degree awarding institute. Degrees awarded are recognized by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan, Pakistan Engineering Council, Pakistan Council for Architects & Town
Planning, National Computing Education Accreditation Council and by the institutions abroad. The ICBS serves the national and international community through a broad spectrum of BS, MS/MPhil and PhD programs in multiple
disciplines including Engineering & Technology, Management Sciences, Computing, Information Technology, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Commerce, Architecture, Fashion Design and Allied Health Sciences.

CENTER OF INTEGRATED MOUNTAIN RESEARCH

Established in 1987, the CIMR is the first Centre of its kind in the country addressing complex issues of the mountain regions of Pakistan. Mountains constitute nearly 58% of national territory. The integrated approach not only ensures socio-economic uplift of the mountain communities but also makes indirect contribution towards Plain areas due to their intimate linkages and dependence on its water supply and ecosystem services. Since 2002, its academic programs, MSc. in Mountain Conservation and Watershed Management, MPhil and PhD programs in
vital area of Geo Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development are producing highly demanded skilled manpower. This Centre along with Operational Base at Khanaspur Campus (7500ʹasl) is a unique field facility provides scholars and students with access to the first-class facilities for meetings, support study tours, field research projects seminars, training programs, and conferences.

THEME:

RESEARCH TENDS TO INFINITY FORWARDS

Though, research in science has assumed immeasurable dimensions with its classification in different fields of study, yet, there are matters of mutual interest to give comprehensive treatment to the subject under investigation. In surmounting the problems in respective areas, one invariably is forced to encroach other disciplines. There are number of instances of joint ventures, involving scientists from divergent fields of study, to develop consensus to conclude. In the strict sense, research at top levels has resisted to be colonized. For example, Study in genetics, has impact on a number of physical and biological sciences.

Research in crystallography is extensively by physicists, chemists and chemical engineers etc. alike. Computer simulation is matter of universal interest. Environmental studies has motivated almost all the sectors of science to share responsibilities in the wake of growing pollution. The kind of forum, thus, contemplated by the science international is aimed at providing common room from various fields of pure and applied scientists for direct communication. The cross breeding of ideas certainly helps in the exploration of new avenues in the world of science.
