Department of English

BS is an integrate degree program including both English Language and Literature courses. The diversity of the program is further enhanced by the addition of a wide range of courses from other discipline, e.g., Social Sciences, Business and commerce. Social Sciences are the backbone of development in social and economic terms. Extending over eight semesters or four year, the aim of this program is to provide students with strong foundational but-in-dept knowledge of English Language and Literature on the one hand, and to develop their communicative skills on the other. The coursework comprises 129 credit hours. The last two semesters provide the students an opportunity to major in English Language or English Literature by devoting their studies entirely to either of these disciplines, and write a thesis (3 credits) on a corresponding topic.
