Department of Political Science

The Programs in Political Science at Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS) aims to
cultivate a cohort of scholars proficient in advanced research methodologies and theoretical
frameworks within the discipline. Through a rigorous curriculum, the program seeks to equip
students with the analytical tools necessary for conducting original research in political science.
Objectives include fostering critical thinking, honing writing skills, and deepening understanding
of political phenomena across local, national, and global contexts. Furthermore, the program
endeavors to nurture interdisciplinary perspectives, encouraging students to draw insights from
related fields such as sociology, economics, and history. Ultimately, graduates of the M.Phil.
program are expected to contribute new knowledge to the field through their dissertations and to
emerge as adept researchers capable of addressing complex political issue
