The Imperial College of Business Studies, Lahore (ICBS) was established in 1991 by the Pakistan Benevolence & Social Management Trust. The initial development of ICBS was supported by academic collaborations with the University of Hull, UK. In 2002, ICBS was chartered by the Government of Punjab as independent degree awarding institution (The Imperial College of Business Studies Ordinance 2002, Punjab Ordinance No. XIX, 2002). The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) awarded the ICBS with highest category status “W” which is reserved for those institutions that fulfill all criteria of an International Quality University.
The ICBS is committed to producing leaders, scholars, engineers, technologists, scientists, and entrepreneurs instilled with professional ethics, character, and competence, with the vision to face future challenges and the ability to offer solutions.

Charter, Accreditation & Recognition
The ICBS is chartered by the Government of the Punjab as an independent degree awarding institute, (The Imperial College of Business Studies Ordinance 2002, Punjab Ordinance No. XIX, 2002). ICBS degree is recognized by the Higher Education Commission and by institutions abroad. The ICBS is the first Business School in Punjab to be certified as having quality management system through ISO 9001:9002.
