Administrative Offices

University administrative offices are the backbone of any higher education institution, playing a crucial role in the efficient operation and management of the university. These offices are responsible for a wide range of functions and services that are essential for the academic and administrative well-being of the university community.

The Rector Office is the principal academic and administrative office of the ICBS. The role of the Office of Rector is to provide quality services to the statutory bodies, the syndicate and other related bodies. Theses services include strategic and academic leadership, planning, policy development, reporting and executive support. The Recor Office provides and demonstrates leadership, integrity and the highest standards of professionalism.

• Coordination in Academic, Non-Academic and other activities of the departments of ICBS

• Source of light and standards for governance and senior management.

Rector ICBS

The Office of the Registrar is committed primarily to the service of faculty and students through scheduling, registration, record keeping and reporting as well as assisting the deans and other administrative offices in their service. The office also supports the ICBS community in matters pertaining to transcripts, academic calendars, academic policies and the course catalogue and degree verifications.
We act as a facilitator for students, faculty, and staff as they pursue the academic goals of the university. The Office of the Registrar provides a welcoming and encouraging environment, maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and appropriate confidentiality of academic records at ICBS, Lahore.

Registrar ICBS

Examination Department is the backbone of any university/institute and also plays a vital role in the functioning of a university/institute i.e., conducting the Examinations, Announcement of Results, Award of Degree, Issuance of Certificates, Verification of Academic Records & Arrangement of Convocation.

The Examination Department of ICBS Lahore conducts highly reliable examinations with zero tolerance towards misconduct. The examinations and evaluation system of ICBS contribute to making its degree as a benchmark of Quality Education.

The Office of Treasurer ensures that all transactions adhere to ICBS policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting principles, and rules established by the authoritative governing bodies. It strives to provide accurate financial information throughout the organization with a great deal of integrity and reliability.

Preview:
The development, application and maintenance of quality benchmarks in all its key performance area is one of the emerging challenges faced by any higher education institute. To institutionalize the process of quality development and enhancement, the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) was established in Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) has been established in Imperial College of Business Studies, as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure, in pursuance of the National Action Plan.

QEC at ICBS ensures the quality education through continuous improvement of supportive and conducive learning environment while incorporating the student, professional and community needs by coordination, collaboration and dissemination of quality activities among stakeholders. Likewise creating value and making a difference by implementing and incorporating best practices of standardization.

OFFICE OF RESEARCH INNOVATION & COMMERCIALIZATION(ORIC)

In view of the growing need for knowledge exchange in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and in alignment with the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) vision for sustained growth and expansion of research activities through strong industry linkages, the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) has been established at ICBS, Lahore. ORIC’s primary focus is to connect the university’s research initiatives with the educational, social, economic, and commercial sectors. It provides both strategic and operational support by serving as a research platform where ideas and inventions are transformed into innovations for the betterment of society. Furthermore, ORIC functions as the central research hub of ICBS, actively disseminating knowledge through journals, conferences, seminars, and training programs.

The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), ICBS, Lahore serves as a premier platform for academic staff, postgraduate researchers, and potential industry partners seeking to engage with our research expertise or collaborate on innovative ventures. ORIC is dedicated to nurturing a vibrant research culture, expanding the scope of teaching and learning, and providing continuous support for faculty and students alike. Our primary focus is on developing innovative solutions to real-world industrial challenges that generate meaningful societal impact while advancing knowledge in relevant and practical ways. We are committed to helping organizations, researchers, employees, and students transform their ideas into successful projects, startups, and sustainable businesses. At ORIC, we actively pursue opportunities, foster partnerships, and create value at every stage of the research and commercialization process. As custodian of ICBS’s research portfolio both internally and externally funded ORIC ensures that all proposals and projects comply with the university’s intellectual, ethical, and research policies.

Objective:
  • Establish and sustain a vibrant research culture at ICBS, Lahore by promoting scholarly excellence, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and fostering a spirit of inquiry among faculty and students.
  • Cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship among ICBS researchers by supporting creative thinking, providing incubation opportunities, and enabling faculty and students to translate their research into practical solutions, startups, and business ventures.
  • Strengthen the integration of research and education at all levels of the university by embedding research-driven learning into curricula, enhancing the quality of teaching, and equipping students with the skills required to meet global academic and industrial challenges.
  • Build and reinforce productive university–industry relationships by creating strategic partnerships, facilitating knowledge transfer, and aligning academic research with industrial and societal needs.
  • Advance the commercialization of research and development carried out at ICBS by protecting intellectual property, supporting technology transfer, and transforming innovative ideas into marketable products and services that contribute to national progress.
Future Plans
  • Strengthen the connection between the university’s research community and the needs and priorities of the corporate sector by building long-term partnerships, aligning research with industry challenges, and fostering collaborative ventures that yield mutual benefits.
  • Expand opportunities for applied research and actively explore avenues for technology transfer, ensuring that innovative ideas and scientific advancements are transformed into practical solutions that directly benefit society and industry.
  • Accelerate the commercialization of university-based research by establishing effective mechanisms for patenting, licensing, and startup incubation, thereby contributing to national economic development and technological progress.
  • Promote knowledge dissemination and enhance the flow of communication by regularly organizing conferences, symposiums, workshops, and training programs that bring together academia, industry, and policymakers for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

Marketing Office ICBS is committed for actively seeking out and developing brilliant students – regardless of their financial and social circumstances. Our community comprises of people with diverse talents, interests, backgrounds and cultures. Admission office keenly look at the student profile, determine and facilitate them for achievement of the future endeavors. Students with thin financial line are offered scholarships by ICBS. Scholarship Office (SO) has been established in ICBS Lahore. There are number of scholarships available to assist students with their educational expenses on need and merit basis. In addition, ICBS offers different scholarships to the students for the promotion of education. Categories of these scholarships are as under:
